I had an old Baldor 5HP motor in my shop that I purchased years ago. It's been sitting in my corner for like 5 years now and finally this week I got to put it to use. I knew I would need it for building a 3 phase (Rotary Phase Converter) one day.

This pic is the box that was hard-wired directly to the motor. It's pretty nice actually. Magnetically latching to keep power on but if there's a power failure it immediately will break the connection.

Everything was from a wood shop so it was EXTREMELY infested with sawdust. I had to clean and vacuum everything out.

More from that box's label.

Here's my box closed.

And now the motor plate itself.

Sorry I should have gotten pics as I was going but I am bad about that sometimes. Here's the motor control (On/Off) box on the right. It's the black one... and the capacitor box on the left. It's what will be used to hold the run and the start caps.
